Measuring the opening for sliding wardrobe doors is quite straightforward, complicated only by the fact that most openings are not truly level and parallel. Fortunately sliding wardrobe doors do come with an element of adjustment to cope with this, to a certain degree.
Opening Height: Before measuring the opening height, decide what the bottom track will be fitted on to. If you have a hardwood or laminate flooring will the bottom track fit directly on to this ? However, if you have a carpet, it is advisable to cut out a section of the carpet and replace it with a piece of timber/m.d.f./m.f.c. to a width of approx. 110 mm to make the bottom track level. You may also have to remove a section of skirting or ceiling coving to allow the tracking to fit correctly.
Once this is done you are now ready to take sizes.
Measure in three positions for the Height: Left hand side, middle and the right hand side. Use the smallest of the sizes that you have measured. The largest opening height we can produce doors for is 2492 mm
Measure in three positions for opening Width: Top, middle and the bottom and use the largest size. The largest opening width we can supply doors for is 4880 mm
